Test four this morning. Heavy traffic on the M3. Curiously it did show on the device, and the non-existent contraflow has vanished as well. Although once I drove into the traffic the alert vanished, despite the jam being several miles long.

So at least the alert was correct, just I would have liked it to stay for the duration of the traffic I was in.

So far it has been absolutely useless, today all the nearby, On my route and In another city buttons are greyed out. I tried from wifi and from 3G , nothing. Complete waste of time.

Live weather, and other live services do work however.

Did you get any decent data out of it?

So far for me it's been mostly a failure, although I'm going to test it once more on the Friday journey home.

The one thing a traffic app needs to be is reasonably accurate, otherwise you cannot trust it, and will never use it.

Well, since I only got it to connect after I finished my journey, the data was a bit irrelevant by then. It did know about the snow on the motorway that I hit on my way home. I will give it more of a try and hopefully it will behave better next time.

Oddly the GPS Tracks worked today. I couldn't get that to work for a while also.

I had a strange issue with it the other day. I was getting graphical turn events, rather than audio. I couldn't spot any setting to disable it, or a volume issue, and after restarting it a couple of times it stopped.

If only this app were more stable...

Navigated with my 930T and Copilot iphone today at same time.
930T showed traffic delay on route home, Copilot showed no traffic events on route home.

Delay was false, roadworks completed 5 days ago.

Also Copilot freezed up on route home, tomtom did not.

Confused

I am finding I very rarely can get Traffic to work at all. Even at home on a wifi connection the Nearby, On My Route and In another city buttons are greyed out. Also Live Link says it cannot connect as there is no internet connection, despite Fuel prices, live local search, live weather working fine.

The other day I was stuck on the A90 approach to the Forth Road Bridge for 3 hours, solid traffic and sheet ice. Everyone must have been on their iPhone and no data signal despite 5 bars on the iPhone.

It just looks like the network cannot scale up to demand at present.
