Could you please explain that a bit more?

What happens when it tries to update the database (error messages etc)? Is this with the timed/automatic update, or when you click on "Check now..." from the menu? Or both?

Same for trying to set the POI directory - is it not set automatically (usually it's got from POI Loader)? What happens if you try to set it manually by clicking on the "Browse..." button?

Have a read of STick170's post, half-way down this page:

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=329538

Although this is relating to Vista, the same will likely apply to Win7 too.

Does anyone else have Win7 problems???

Sorted hopefully, I had already done the unprotect, sign in etc, but it looks like I copied over an old camera manager version as no check now available, now back on 2.7, (is that ther latest ?) and seems ok so far, thanks anyway. Great piece of software.

I stand corrected.
In Win7/ internet options/ security tab/ uncheck protected mode.
Open new browser window navigate to pocketgpsworld and log in.
Camera manager then did the business.
I then rechecked the protected mode box.

not sure if it will stay working or not will report back.

Any chance that Camera Manager will work on an iMAC ? I'm considering a platform change, otherwise I will keep a Windows laptop for sat nav updates !

I use it in a virtual XP machine on my Mac Pro, I let Camera Manager download the files then I drag them onto the Mac and use the OS X version of the Garmin POI Loader. VirtualBox is free for VMs so you can do it that way at no extra cost.

Hi Guys,

I'm having some difficulty with Camera Manager v2.7. I've downloaded the full version from Ash10's link several times, but each time I do this my antivirus software recognises a trojan called Artemis and quarantines or removes camera manager. Any ideas how to get a clean copy of the software would be appreciated?

What anti virus? I suspect this is a False Positive (maybe on an exe packer)

NOD32 doesn't detect anything wrong and I'll check with several other AV. Testing with VirusTotal shows 3 out of 39 AV detect a threat and it seems it a FP from the EXE Packer.

You'll have to find some way of excluding the program from your AV or submit the file to the AV company to have the FP removed in the next update.

The AV software is part of Mcafee Security Centre version 9.15. The virus scan is version 13.5

Is it up to date? The VirusTotal scan shows McAfee and McAfee+Artemis don't detect anything.

If so, you'll need to ask McAfee why they are detecting it as a problem.
