Hi all,
Can anyone help me I have a garmin nuvi200w not a massive problem as everything works as advertised, I have the PGPSW speed camera database active on the unit but regardless of whether I use garmins or PGPSW's it gives me a warning when approaching a speed camera but carries on bleeping which becomes quite annoying I would be happy with just a SINGLE BEEP and that is it.
Has anyone got any tips on how to configure the POI loader or any other settings to acheive this.
Thanks in Advance.
Dean.

Can't do anything with POILoader but take a look at ASH10's Camera Manager which is a sticky in the Garmin forum.

This allows much greater control over the alerts etc

Also, if it's anything like my 255WT, you could try Tools...Settings...Proximity Points...Change...Audio, and then select Single Tone rather than Continuous Tone.

Thanks Dale the 200W only has the option for main volume also to select or deselect custom POI's ie speed cams alerts ON or OFF pretty basic. I tried Sticky's Camera Manager though and it works a dream I have only tried it on sim mode but looks good.
Cheers for help guy's.

Hi,

I have noticed recently that my warning text message has changed from a simple camera warning with speed to be more complex with what appears the camera number and the last two digits indicate the speed. (I do also get the speed icon up).

Is there any way I can get the simple message back?

hi, have you started using camera manager? if so then this is a 'side effect' of the 'always show icon' setting.

Hi I assume you mean Ash's software. Yes I have.
So is there anything I can do apart from not using it.

yep - you can turn off the 'always show icons' option. i'm pretty certain that the nuvi 200 alway shows the icons anyway regardless of speed!

the option was added, if i remember correctly to allow older units to show the icon all the time instead of just when you were at the speed limit!
