I use Tom Tom Navigator on Pocket PC (version 5.210).

I'm off to southern Ireland next month, so I popped my TT navigator 5 Disc into my laptop to copy the country map data onto my SD card.

Where's Ireland? It's not there!

I've used this set-up for years, but because it's my first time driving in Ireland, I hadn't noticed it's missing.

I've seen some old postings referring to this problem. Apparently TT were blaming TeleAtlas back in 2008. But I feel a bit miffed about this...I have a kosher, licenced copy of Western Europe and Southern Ireland is not there - surely this is mis-selling.

Does anyone know how can get South Ireland?

Many Thanks

Only by switching to a different application and more recent mapping, the latest TomTom mapping does cover Ireland but for PDA use you would need Navigator 7 which is only intended for certain specfic PDA based phones so its not much use to you. Consider McGuider or I-Go as two alternates that should offer newer mapping with Ireland coverage - Mike

Thanks Mike.

The cost of being up-to-date doesn't get any cheaper does it!

Having to pay out again for something I thought I'd already paid for rankles me....to the extent that, pending TT's reply, I shall probably never touch TT again.

I've paid top dollar for my kit and, unlike many of my friends, resisted the temptation to obtain 'dodgy' copies of all the TT software I have, and what good did it do me...(rant, rave ...) anyway, thanks for letting me vent steam!

As I'm also in the market for a handheld GPSr, and if I have to shell out more cash, I may as well get say a Garmin GPSMap 60CSX, and get a device that will serve 2 purposes (although car navigation is limited).
