Hi

Im thinking about installing a parrot hands free kit in my car.

I have a Tomtom 520 and would like to get the voice directions to go via the Parrot to the car stereo speakers. Meaning for the tomtom to interupt say the music on my stereo to give me voice directions.

Is anyone using a Parrot and Tomtom to do this?

What parrot system have you installed?

Thanks

Well guys thank you all for your input on helping me with this Mad

There must be quite a few of you on here who know a solution to this issue. Why so guarded guys??

Anyway i have found a solution, and im not gonna be guarded with the info.

The Parrot systems may be suitable but i have chosen the IO PLAY bluetooth car kit.

The system can be shown demonstrated here:

Like i said guys, thanks for all your help.....NOT

Has it occurred to you that perhaps you did not get a response because no one has actually got this combination or if they have to get it working in that way?

Your own solution appears to confirm that it is not possible and others may well thank you for describing how you got a working set up.

I never saw this thread but you made the correct choice.

I have a Parrot MKi9100 and despite all attempts the TT520 just will not pair with it.

My N95 works perfectly with handsfree and audio streaming but even with the hififix it is still no use with the 520

I tried the IO play in Halfords before I bought the parrot and it worked fine but what swayed me was the display on the Parrot.

Sorry for not replying but for streaming audio from the TT you did the right thing

Which just SHOWS that you are probably the first to try this! Why assume people are hiding the answer from you?

THE Andy_P from "your TomTom" aswell....... Rolling Eyes

Oh and tried the lets be friends approach didnt i. Like i said on "your TomTom". There are probably alot of members piping their tomtom voice guidance through their car speakers. Would of been nice to of been steered in the right direction at least. Anyway hopefully i have acheived that for others.

Well, I have in the past piped my TT direction through my car speakers, via the Line Out cable, NOT with a Parrott device and I guess more use that or the FM Tx, so maybe you ARE the only one.

Why do you feel that no one wants to help? If I could have helped, I would, even though I am pretty much a novice.

Anyway, thanks for your input and if anyone else wants to do it your way, then you have indeed assisted and can have a good feeling.
