i have 530t, if i go into change preferences menu and scroll through i come across a greyed out item called car preferences any one ideas why this is and what it does

It does nothing unless you upgrade to TomTom Work which is a different software/ hardware combination - ignore it as it will be greyed out on 99% of devices sold - Mike
