HI,

Have purchased one of the Aldi specials, (Medion PPC250).
I am interested in installing TomTom 3 on it & i was wondering what settings if any need to be changed regarding the GPS side of things.

I have read somewhere about Com port designations needing to be changed but i can`t remember where i saw it & if it was relevant to the model i have.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sk1n ;)

The TomTom GPS driver (as of 2.08 ) is bending the client serial BT connection from COM8 to COM5. And it is messing up the Bluetooth stack as well.

So if you refrain from installing the newer TomTomGPS driver and use version 2.07 instead (we have it in our Downloads area) then you don't need to change any settings.

If you are not using BlueTooth then you should not expect any problems altogether. You can even use the latest GPS drivers (but you don't need to)

What are the advantages of TTN3 over the Navigon as supplied with the Medion PPC?
