If I load a card in my nuvi it will only play music files anything else is invisible. any suggestions ?

also I have some poi's that cannot be removed ( even garmin tried Crying or Very sad ) If i formatted the drive would I have to buy the maps ?

Thanks
Bob

Custom POIs you've added? Search for any files that end with the extension gpi (such as poi.gpi) and move them to your PC (don't delete them). Usually POIs are in a folder called Garmin/poi on the unit or the SD Card.

Don't format the Nuvi drive.

I downloaded the free Roadtour finest 500 , on checking the properties it shows as a application so I presume in needs to be installed directly to the unit ?

Any thoughts on formatting ?

Thanks, Bob

No. You plug your Nuvi into your PC and run the app on your PC. It'll install the RoadTour to the unit or the card depending on what you choose.
