When asking why TT didn't just tell me they had problems with mapshare instead of asking me to uninstall?reinstall my software this is what they said.

As far as i am aware there are no issues with downloading MapShare Corrections at this time. We are aware of course of the ongoing issues with Traffic and Safety Camera services not working correctly and are currently working on resolving them.

The instructions i gave you would have forced the system to re-download all MapShare corrections and install them onto your device again, this is a tried and true method I recommend to any customer who is experiencing difficulties while downloading MapShare corrections.

So they didn't know that people had been having problems downloading mapshre because it was all working there end Confused

Thankfully I got the instructions to installer/reinstall software from them after mapshare started working again so I didn't follow them. We all must of imagined that mapshre was not working, it's all been a dream Wink

Well after reporting to this thread that i received 14.8mb of mapshare updates on Sunday, I have now tried on Monday and today and had no new updates.

Now I realise that when it was working in the past you do not always get updates every day but in my experience I never went more that one day.

So in my case, at least, it appears that there are still issues with the servers.

Has anyone else experienced the same or similar issues yet I wonder?

TomTom has announced that mapshares will be weekly from now on, not daily.

Ahhh, thanks for that David.

Does this mean they have been unable to cope with the quantity of corrections they have with their maps and to save overloading the servers with adhoc uploads to users, they regulate who and when we get a bulk download instead... Laughing Out Loud

Just tried this evening, and I'm not getting mapshare updates yet. WCE v8.05 maps installed.

Incidentally, I was offered an update for RDS-TMC to (apparently) allow me to update my TMC information more accurately and ensure more compatibility from country to country so it says.

Graeme, I had the same offer for the RDS-TMC update and at first I did not download it. I got no MapShare updates either.

I tried again and decided to download the RDS update and then MapShare corrections were there! It may be coincidence - but it might be worth a try.

Finally got 4.4 Mb of Mapshare (26000 corrections approx.) on my 720 with v810 maps this morning - evn though it was telling me my map was up to date before I clicked on the 'Update your Go' option Confused

Finally got an update for UK 7.25now up to 19981 corrections but it did show more available but tried to d/l them and it won't show which map I'm running again.

That update was only 0.2 mb yet increased nearly 5000 corrections, it says I still got another 0.8 mb to d/l

I've just started up my TT Home 2.4 and been offered my QuickGPSFix and Mapshare downloads, which before i accepted them i looked at Tools/TT Map Share/Map Share Preferences/Select Countries and there was UK & ROI showing. After downloading 2mb of Mapshare i then looked back into the Selected Countries and the page was blank.

I have just downloaded 15.7mb of mapshare updates. now have 99689 corrections in use according to home. No problems whatsoever.

Looks like TT are setting up for Friday deliveries f MapShare upates. I've just gone on to HOME and there were 0.2Mb of GB & NI changes offered.

I downloaded and my status indicator shows 14605 updates in use.

When I look at the Countries tab of MapShare Preferences in HOME, I have:

United Kingdom 1.4Mb
GG Tiny
Republic of Ireland 0.2Mb
-------OTHER COUNTRIES------- Tiny

Anyone know what GG is? Could it be Guernsey?
