mapshare back now ?

The words "cloud " "cuckoo" and "land" come to mind.

And why is it you can only send in reports anonymously, I would love them to know (if they get read) that it was me yet again that was having ANOTHER problem with their servers.

Just got 47.5mb's of mapshare's this mornning, so it looks like all is well again. (254686 mapshare corrections in use)

Now if they could just let me buy a new map via home I would be very happy.

Still No Mapshares here. I am puzzled as to how some are getting these updates, is it down to unit type or map or firmware revision?

Do you have your map on the sdhc card? If so, when you connect to Home, you MUST make sure that you have selected that storage device when starting up; in other words, the software must be pointing to the storage area where the map is located for the mapshares to dl.

No MapShare updates here either. In my case it might be that they haven't enabled the data for my map yet (Scandinavia 810). Will try 715 WE map and see if that makes a difference.

Edit: I just managed to download map corrections (27, Mb )for the 715 WE map. However the map status indicator plugin in Home doesn't reveal how many map corrections are in use. It only tells me that there are newer versions of my map available, which I am very much aware of already...

Internal memory has UK maps and Card has W?E maps, no joy on either.

seemed to download and install very quickly

hi again

i made a mistake in that I did not choose what countries to download updates for and as such i had downloaded a total of 242146 corrections for all of western europe I then choose UK and france and ended up with 57819 correctionsthe reason I am mentioning this is that the 242146 coorections took about 5 min to download and install instead of the several hours it might have taken before home 2.4 so everything works quick and well for me

MapShare is now showing countries in Preferences and that there are updates totaling 1Mb in size available, however, they will not download. I've tried uninstalling Home and downloading a new copy, uninstalling the MapShare Status Indicator and downloading a new version yet they updates do not come down.

After doing all this, the Preferences page shows 0Mb of updates available and no countries! Crying or Very sad

Can anyone give me a correction they have made, so that I can check if it has been loaded?

A poster in a US forum found that if you use Explorer and navigate to this file: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\ojs18cup.default\MapShareDownloadCache
and delete just the .bin file in the folder, NOT the folder itself, that mapshares started to dl again.

Make sure hidden files/folders are showing.

Something to try, I guess, for those who are still not getting mapshares.
