Looks like somebody ran a file recovery program on that disk, 'loquen~1' is the sort of name you get when you reduce a FAT32 system back to a FAT16 naming convention .

If you need any files other than the map files, let me know. I've got 910 which I can pull them from and stick them on my website for you to download.

Can you get into any of the folders with the strange names? Perhaps by clicking on them using windows explorer. If possible you want to recover your map data. If you can get into any of these folders can you see a file called cname.dat? This would indicate that the folder contains a map.

I think it's time to give up on them....
When Mike's DVDs arrive delete everything on the 910 (it might be wise to format it especially if there are any files/folders that won't delete) then copy those DVDs onto the Go and with a bit of luck it will fire up and say "no maps found". Then you can use Home to buy a new map.
