Hi all,

I've got the ogg files for my PGPSW speed cameras and they work fine. I'm an avid ice hockey fan so have a POI group for Ice Hockey Arenas. I converted a sound file to an ogg file and made it the same name as the POI files. I then went to set up the warn when near option and it all went through as though it was going to work as it just asked if this was the sound i wanted etc.... like it did with the speed cameras. But when i simulate going near an ice arena i just get the Big Ben clock chime and not my sound file that i have created.

Does the ogg file have to be of a certain quality / maximum file size etc??? It is approx 160k compared to around 18k for the speed camera sound files.

Cheers

Dave.

Try 11,050 kHz sample frequency, 16 bit, mono.

I don't know the maximum size but I would expect there IS one.

Once your sample is the right format, if it still doesn't work, you could try editing it to a much shorter length without changing anything else as an experiment.

Alternatively, you can use "plan B" if you are on v7 software.
You should have a "sounds" folder. Just put the file in there and it should appear on the selection page with the normal bings and bongs. If I remember correctly, you can even put short .wavs in there without converting them, but oggs are much smaller so are still a better bet.
