Anyone know anything about them? My Garmin GPS 72 does all I need but it struggles at time in the Landrover which hasa near vertical windscreen. The 72 has not external aerial so I guess that a re radiating aerial is the way to go. Do they work ok? I only need a cheapy realy and the inside part can sit right next to the 72. Your recomendations please. |

They do work, however they were deemed illegal to use in the UK about 2 years ago so they are difficult to source. The chances of being caught using one is very slim due to the very low power output, but technically they are not permitted in the UK, this is why you won't find many retailers selling re-rads in the UK - Mike |

Its not a joke though, have a read of the Ofcom statement from Jul10 2006 which was announced in This Thread - I remember the issue quite well as we use these devices at work and had to turn them off until dispensation could be granted to use them - Mike |
