TOMTOM ONE V3 UK map 715.1689

It says its 29 weeks old and wont let me download and map share update?

can anyone help please.

Ignore the message. It's TomTom's servers acting up (again... and again ... ).

There is also some issue as to whether mapshares are working (again). Some are getting them the last 24 hours or so; some (including me) are not.

Fortunately, in most cases, the functionality of the unit is better than that of the TTHome software.

I got them on Monday, now for the last two days nothing.

Perhaps they are gearing them up for the onslaught of millions of happy customers updating their new 930's Laughing

When I last got this I turned off mapshare on the device, deleted all updates from the device (you can do this through Home but I can't remember how) then disconnected the device and closed Home. Somewhere within the home folder structure there is a folder with all of your updates in, delete this. Now reneable mapshare on the device and reconnect and it should download again.

Oh back EVERYTHING up (device and the folder in Home) before you start!

It worked for me yesterday, Andy. I hadn't received mapshares for at least a week for my NA 710 map on my 720. Yesterday, via Home--Mapshares, removed all changes made by others. (did NOT remove any files via Explorer). I then applied Update and this time there WAS a mapshare dl and now is shows 16,000+ changes where before it was stuck at 2971.

Just tried it again - and this time it DID work! Stop it!
No idea why it didn't when I tried it a couple of days ago.

Also, this is the first time that it has worked for me by only having to remove OTHER peoples corrections. In the past I've had to remove mine as well, which is a REAL pain!

Is there a trick to getting the TT ONE 3rd edition to work with Mapshare? - It says my map is 30 weeks out of date and there are 19333 free corrections waiting, but when I ask for updates it says there are none!

If I go to the Home Mapshare preferences under the select countries tab it says No items available.

This is with the latest Macintosh TT Home 2.2.28

Hi mine was not linked to my tomtom account, when I tried to link it I could not because I have linked another tomtom one v3, this one had failed so it was sent back, the replacement will not link because of the 6 month limit, so I have asked tomtom support to change the device code in my account to the replacement unit, I am still waiting for them to do it!!!

Thanks most interesting - I'm getting no items available still (under select countries).

I just got an email from TomTom asking me report back on customer satisfaction - I'll certainly be saying a few things!

Edit: Even their online survey submit button failed! - I give up.
