Hope I've posted in the correct forum as not specific to any particular brand on satnav unit.

I have a RAC110 satnav unti on which I have loaded the pocketgpsworld speed camera database.

The individual pocketgpsworld files have loaded ok and are sitting in my 'POI Alarm' list, working no problem.

The satnav unit has pre-programmed poi's called 'Speed 20' etc and 'Section Speed 20' which I think are speed camera locations and speed limit warnings. So that the screen on the satnav unit is not too 'busy' is it recommended to delete/remove the pre-programed poi warning categories and use only the pocketgpsworld download instead? I'm sure this would be a better and more accurate way of using the unit, but, just wanted some advice before I do it. (The whole programme is running from a SD card that I brought as the original card did not have enough capacity to load extra poi's.

Thank for any advice

Steve

Steve,
If you intend to use the GPS unit in the UK only, then you only really need the Pocket GPS World speed camera warnings and you can somehow delete or "un-tick" warnings from other sources. The UK data base from PGPSW is almost certainly far superior in terms of the population and accuracy of the data making the data supplied on your unit effectively redundant.

If you planned to use the unit overseas then you might want to think about having both databases active as the coverage is growing but not perfect as yet on the PGPSW data.

Jope this helps you make your decision Smile

Cheers

Gav

Also if you intend to delete anything make a backup of your sd card first
