Wink

Over the last few years, I have spent well over £5000 with them, buying cameras and items, never had a post go missing, and always on time with posting.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but would be happy to order from them again.

So Called them and they confirmed its shipped today for Delivery by Friday

Fingers are crossed for you Vicky!

Could the fact you are receiving it from France and not from a distributor within the UK have anything to do with earlier than expected availability?

Question

No, because ONE wouldn't be enough Rolling Eyes

You're waiting for your own personal shipment of a pallet load direct from TomTom Wink

Isn't it about time you got a larger van with a bigger windscreen for more TomToms? Laughing

I wonder if the 930T comes with and improved Dalek voice for you Cool

Hmm. If you follow through to his review of IQ routing, one example shown gives 354 mile journey at average speed of 61mph. I dunno what speed limits they have over there, but over here with 70 max on motorways, I struggle to achieve an average of 60mph over 5 3/4 hours.

Yeah but no but yeah but don't the algorithms assume that you will be travelling at the MAXIMUM speed permissible within each speed limit without allowing time for junctions, traffic etc.

Thus, if you were to plan a journey from K-E-Y-N-S-H-A-M to Glasgow or Edinburgh along motorways only, your plethora of TomToms will assume that you will be travelling at a constant speed of 70mph - because that is the speed limit for motorways.

Alas, your countless TomToms won't allow for traffic, roadworks, pee breaks etc, hence your average speed will be LOWER than that indicated by your innumerable TomToms.

Alternatively, there could be a conspiracy theory and if this is a demo route pre-programmed by TomTom, they could have set the average speed artificially high in order to make their GPS guidance miracles more appealing to the many Winnebago drivers who confuse cruise control with auto pilot Wink

Well, my numerous countless TomToms simply sit in the front window busily calcifying the route and shouting at each other (volume 100%). Between the three of them, I have three different maps, three different sets of cameras and two different operating system versions, so they all define different routes. You should hear the arguments - but at least I haven't got a John Cleese or Billy Connolly voice to get abusive about it!

Alas, with all the arguing, they DO NOT actually get out and start PEDALLING so my average speed is through unassisted diesel power. Crying or Very sad

Hmm. Would that be "Are you shipping 930s?" or "Are you shipping RDS-TMC that works?" or "Are you shipping fixes for the hands free problems?" or "Are you shipping IQ routing algorithms that work?" or "Are you shipping Mapshare with useful features?" or "Are you shipping Voice Recognition that recognises voices and covers all menu items?"

Etc, Etc, Etc. Confused

So do you go with a majority verdict or just the one that shouts loudest? Rolling Eyes

....or is it a case of that classic Irish phrase "I wouldn't start from here, if I were you!"?

No matter how much people joke about women's general lack of ability to navigate, the majority seem to prefer a female voice telling them where to go Rolling Eyes

Nah, it was only the first question that I didn't know the answer to Wink
