It might, but you will still have the same problem if the POI is located at the summit of a mountain a long way from a road the device might not compute a route, it is after all intended for road navigation - Mike

Ill give it a try when i get home but if no joy ill stick to the Garmin Etrex once the R.A.C has gotten me in the general area.
