This Manual explains about the Panasonic Formatter. _________________ Richard

When I tried to access the SDHC card at first, I was getting errors from XP trying to copy files to it - both with TT Home and Windows explorer - a quick dig on google (and in here) showed it might be a good idea to "format it properly".
I think most people just shove the card in and it works - maybe I was unlucky. It's only a small download (couple of MB I think) |

Right
I have now got both the W & Eur maps and the North American one
deleted W & E to allow space for the NA one
Downloaded NA to the TT in a fraction of the time the W & E one took
Removed NA from TT
Reloaded W & E v715 to TT
What a pain
Still chasing TT for the Guam update. They say I have access to it but I haven't. I really don't need it but it is now the principal of it!!!
Hopefully get the SDHC card tomorrow. Downloaded .exe file for the Panasonic SD card formatting software in case I need it.
Does everybody have to do this or is it just me doing it the hardway ? |

Count your blessings ...
At least TT Europe is making both maps available to you users. You should see the hassle NA users have to go through. |

Stupid thing is I will probably NEVER go to Guam!!
I suppose it may be of benefit if I come to sell it to some unsuspecting Guamian who needs the v715 map!! After all - it is better than getting one from the next man who only has v710 installed. There may be a new palm tree on the island after all. |

I have a problem with this. If I delete a map then 'update' does not recognise that I need the new one and does not make it available. Also, when I downloaded v715 of the European map it OVERWROTE v710 that was already on the device.
Is the TT site wrong? |
Latest Map guarantee gave me WE v715 which did overwrite my original v705. so TT has it wrong, unless it overwrites the original only when using Latest Map Guarantee. Unfortunately the download appears to have been corrupt and I ended up wiith NO map of WE available, but that's the subject of another thread. Thank goodness for Backups. _________________ TT Go Essential |
