Hi all.
Forgive me I'm new to all this...
I recently acquired a 'Trumpion TR101', Sat Nav, which came complete with a Tom Tom Navigator manual - (I am guessing it is a re-marketed older version). I would like to ask all you more experienced users if the software for this device is upgradeable, i.e. Maps, Speed Cameras, POI, Voices, Alerts etc.
Any help to a beginner would be much appreciated.
FYI - System Info.
ROM Version V26.Y17S.L9.3.6
Processor ARM920T
Ram Size 64 MB
Software Version 1.14
Hope you can help. |

The unit is fully upgradeable via the SD card. I use TomTom and I have added POIs, maps etc. All run perfectly.

If it's running TomTom then more likely it has a pirate copy of TomTom installed.
It seems to have been a popular device for sellers to slap pirate software onto and then sell. There is no such thing as a re-marketed TomTom.
If it is running TomTom then it will support custom POIs, alerts etc but to be certain we would need to knwo the version?
Did it come with a small TomTom credit card that has the activation key embossed upon it or does the SD card have TomTom's logo on it? If not then it'll be pirated data. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Were you able to install TomTom Navigator solely on the SD card without installing/modifying the WinCE configuration
Usually if the battery runs flat or you switch the unit completely off, the WinCE installation will return to it's factory default state and your TomTom installation is knackered.
If so, how did you do it
