Last Summer I got into terrible difficulty using my Nuvi 360 in Cornwall when it kept taking my motorhome down the narrowest of lanes with high stone walls! Shocked

At one point I thought I was going to have to reverse my motorhome for several miles and of course when you are relying on the GPS to get you there you lose track of where you are and just listen to the lovely Emily's voice!

I tried calling my motorhome a 'bus', then a 'truck', but it didnt seem to make any difference. I tried the 'shortest route' rather than the 'fastest route' but again to no avail.

Does anyone know how I could get my Nuvi 360 to take a less stressful route?

Always plan your route on the PC using Mapsource.
Let Mapsource work out the route for you to see the problems.
Put in extra via points to get the route you want.
Transfer the route to the unit. Check it!
Remember, the route changes according to the options in the unit BUT if you have the right vias in, your 'Truck#' option should get you a decent route!

Remember all roads with the National Speed limit are consider equal by the Foreign unit and mapping, even though you cannot get a caravan down it!!!!!!!! Razz

I don't believe you can transfer routes to the Nuvi 300 series? The 310 also only supports 1 via point in a route
