|

Hi All,
just upgraded my GO300 to the latest application 7.162 in preparation for buying new West Europe map from TT. Bought the map had a few problems during the install ( TT Home didn't install it correctly onto card thus no map) but TT help sorted it (had to reformat SD card and re install the application).
Thus lost all Speed camera info etc etc so re installed the Jan update. However I now have no spoken warnings. Can't remember how to get these with the camera updates, can anyone help please. Cheers |

I am sure you are talking about the PGPS cameras, if so the files to go with them are here.
Edit Once to sort out the link text - Mike Alder _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

cheers Ian, you're a star.
Did a back up using TT Home 2.1 before I formatted SD card and then tried to use the backup to re install the spoken camera warnings and then found out that TT Home 2.1 doesn't do an individual back up each time like the previous Home version. It overwrites the last back up, hence the lost files.
Thanks for your help |

I actually lost a full map because of this at the start as i bought a new GB map and when i done a back up it wrote over it hence i lost the map. So now i use home as little as possible and back up using windows explorer. If you need more information on this have a look here at #1 and if you have time read the rest as they are very useful. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

I have the same problem as Whiteknight. Updated my TT GO to V7.163 and UK & ROI map and now no spoken warnings for speed cameras only bells and cows etc. Checked out the solution given by if1977 but the link is dead. I really do wish I'd left everything as it was as I'm not sure what either upgrade has given me other than grief! Any help will be appreciated - Thanks Roger |

I am not too sure if the link ever worked correctly as the format was slightly wrong, I have corrected it now.
If you look at the text you posted:
{url=http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-ogg-files.php{/url}here{/url}.
And the text I used for the repair:
{url=http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-ogg-files.php}{b}{color=red}here{/color}{/b}{/url}.
After the "http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-ogg-files.php" you have {/url} this bit is what was messing things up - Please note I used the {} symbols instead of [] to stop the forum code picking up the hyperlink text in order that you can see the difference - Mike |
