Tomtom v5 software to current model...??

I use Tomtom v5 software running on a Palm T3 and I am pleased with it. I am wondering how I would feel if I got a current Tomtom model. Have they developed the functionality, cut it back or is it about the same?? I'm not asking about playing MP3s or other sexy functions, just about the core navigation functionality. Is there anyone here who has migrated from v5 to a standalone Tomtom and can comment on it? Are you pleased with the change?

Denny, I did exactly the same move as you are planning. I went for the One XL but it's worth checking around to see which system may be best for you.

I can't think of any functions that are missing. There is a lot of extras in the latest versions. The biggest difference is the size of the screen (you feel a lot more confident using your finger instead of the stylus). Also, it's all one unit so no need to have a separate GPS receiver.

Well worth going for it, especially in the sales, is my personal opinion.
