"blue light" doesn't yet mean it is conected - it just means BlueTooth is switched on.

On the Tosh, if you start the BlueTooth Manager, can you see the Fortuna?

If so, can you connect to the serial port that the Fortuna exposes?

Steve, you probably will not want to hear this but I and several other Tosh e740 and e800 forum users have tried unsuccessfully for several months to get the Fortuna Clip On to work with the Toshiba Pocket PC Bluetooth Manager. To my knowledge no one has ever got this combination to work.

My advice is send the thing back and purchase a HAiCOM HI-303CF unit instead.

I have just done this and the combination works like a dream, even when positioned some distance back from the front windscreen. I am using the system with a Brodit Passive Holder and a Brodit Proclip. It’s a very neat solution and performs brilliantly even when used in built up areas, etc.

Interestingly the HI-303CF has an adjustable antenna which can be easily angled towards the windscreen.

The set-up was very easy and the end result with TomTom2 has been brilliant. Thumbs Up

I purchased the unit from Total PDA Ltd, they are really switched on and VERY helpful. I suggest you speak to Valerie McDougall, 0141 8926529, unlike the idiots who recommended and sold me the Fortuna Clip On :x
