good job I made a back up before installing, works fine with back up.

Is it my imagination with the latest 720 update or does the spoken input of addresses seem better? Spoken number input seems to work, whereas before you were navigating to 412675 Acacia Avenue rather than 41!! Or no number at all as you gave up in the end as it continued to add numbers to your input.

Does anyone know what manual settings work with this bag of sh*^&t!e? to get the wireless data working again?

Supposedly the stupid thing knows about N95's and knows about O2, but the sodding thing just won't work.

TIA
Hamish.

delete the old pairing, press reset on tomtom, turn n95 off, turn n95 on, make sure pairing is gone, make sure device is visible, try and pair again.

N95 works fine here.....

Which N95 software version are you using? I started from scratch... Still nothing... (I'm on N95 version 20.0.0.15, which I updated from the bag of sh*(&^te that was 12.0.0.13).

It has been over a month since TT assured me the audio blue-tooth buzz was a software issue which would be rectified.

Two upgrades later no progress Sad

I suspect they are just lying / in denial as they were for a long time over the virus infected TT910 being shipped.

It's definitely hardware fault causing the buzzing.

Software will not cause buzzing.

I have an RMA for my unit for this reason.

Hey, If anyone has an N95 working with 7.221 could you have a look for me & verify which N95 firwmware level you have? I know it works with v11... But v12 and v20 are broken and completely broken AFAICT...

Got a response to my query today....

Quote:
Dear Gullable Customer,

Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Support

Can you please do the following;

Reset the TomTom to Factory setting (Main menu Change Prefernces Reset To Factory settings).

On your mobile phone go to the Bluetooth manager and delete any existing Bluetooth bonding.

Try to pair both devices and see if the same problem keeps occuring, if problem is still present then follow the instruction below for we need the requiring information in order to book it in for repair.

To be able to create an RMA enabling you to send your unit in for repair, it is imperative that we receive the Serial Number for your device. Please update this incident from My Questions History in your TomTom account with this information. You will find the serial number on the lower part of the device, by the bar code, when you turn it upside down.

Please do not hesitate to contact us when you have additional queries.

With Best Regards

The TomTom Customer Support Team

I will give the above a try but I doubt it will help.

I will report back in morning if it helps or not.

Well,
Decided not to wait, got it out of car, reset, deleted all bluetooth data from phone, repaired and called my other mobile and left a voicemail.

Played voicemail back and all I could hear was a buzzing noise.

So its RMA Time....

BTW, How long do they take to repair/swap a duff TT?

They are pretty quick to pick it up by courier once you have an RMA number.
The repair itself can take a while, however, don't expect your original unit back if they cannot repair it. You do not get a new unit, it will be a refurbished unit. This is the experience I had and indeed others as well.

Not looking good Sad

As our wonderful TomTom devices are made in China perhaps they have they same quality control Matel had when it comes to lead paint?

I only really got the 520 for the Map Share which in my opinion is a con as most of your major corrections will only appear when a new map is released.

Back to my Nuvi 360 Cool or my TT 910
