help icon not there

hello downloaded 7.161 to my 910 but no ;help; icon in menues
did my mates and he had it on is what am i doing wrong thanks

Have you got any SK software loaded, if so, back up then delete it, it will work then.

To clarify... this will happen if you have added any third-party add-ons that create a custom menu layout (extra icons etc.).

If you have a custom menu, there is no way yet known to have the new v7 features icons too (as there are no menu commands for them).

So you have to make the choice, added applications and no Help me or Mapshare features, or new v7 features and no add-on programs.

i had poi capture so i deleated it in windows explorer and tripmaster that i also deleated but the icons are still there i also have a licenced verion of MOBINOVA ANY HELP PLEASE

Look for a folder called SDKRegistry on your TomTom. If there is a file in there called TomTom.mnu, then you still have a custom menu.

The decision whether to delete it or keep it is one you have to make yourself.
If it was a machine with an SD card, you could have created two cards, one with Help me etc and one with your third party programs.

no in my sdk registry i have only mobilva media player i have deleted poi capture and trip master no sd card hdd still no help icon
