full postcode for Streetpilot 2620

Is it possible for me load full postcode data onto a streetpilot 2620.

At the moment it only has 4 figure postcode search.

I'm a first responder for the ambulance service who text the full postcode to me for addresses I need to respond to......only being able to input half of the postcode into the streetpilot and then having to search for a street name takes too long a time.
When I used tomtom on my pda it was so much easier inputting the full postcode but regretably my pda screen broke and I replaced it with the streetpilot.

couldn't you get them to buy you a new sat-nav system solely for work purposes? one that has full 7-digit postcodes?

The first responder scheme is voluntary....use own car...own petrol...own sat nav or maps if you not got sat nav. They supply the defib and resus equipment.

So anyone able to tell me how to upgrade the post code data on a Garmin Streetpilot 2620?
