It is the second one. Sorry mike | Are you quite sure you installed it? Where? The 720 has only 2GB internal capacity and the map is greater than 2GB. Maybe you've deleted the previous Europe map then not installed the new one because there isn't enough space? New map would have had to go onto a separate SD card (minimum 4GB). _________________ Dennis

I've got the Western_Europe 7.10.1561 on a 510 using 7.160 firmware using a 2GB card and the map does have the Canary Islands covered.

Dennis, According to home I downloaded and installed ok. The new map size is 1.766 , I also can see that files have been installed. |

The map guarantee for the 720 W&CE map is 1.64gb once installed (1.74 to download)
But like others is didn't install.
After reporting the problem and sending several bits of info to tomtom, they still haven't got back to me. (i gave up)
I have since got an exchanged 720 from the retailer and have decided to stick with the 705 map version, as I'm under the impression that its hardly any different so not worth the problems.
I also have installed the North America 710 map onto an SD card. |

I don't think there are any new post codes, they all seem the same as 7.05, see the earlier new maps, old postcodes thread |

|

Bought my XL one on 02/10/07, have been away at work for the last 20 days so have missed the guarantee opportunity
have sent an email to TomTom to see if they will honour it - surely the principle should be if you qualify within the 30 day period - not if you actually log in and download the maps?
My device is also telling me that my device came with the latest maps, although my map version is 6.75 - this is not correct and because of this the download would not have been available to me anyway
will await a reply from tomtom and see what they say |

I got my GO720T on 17th October and now TomTom has promised to load the latest map to my account when I send them my invoice. I did it today, let's see what's happening and when |

I have downloaded the latest Western europe map and updated my software on my 910 so I can use mapshare. My question is, does anyone correct their map and upload to Tomtom as I never get any corrections to download? _________________ Tomtom Go 6200, Tomtom GO Android app, Garmin GPSMap 62stc, Garmin Oregon 450, Memory map V5 & V6, Moto G6, CamerAlert, Copilot Premium, MM Tracker. |

Yes, have joined and checked preferences. Also ticked boxes on 910 mapshare screen. Sounds like Tomtom do not actually share any maps with us. _________________ Tomtom Go 6200, Tomtom GO Android app, Garmin GPSMap 62stc, Garmin Oregon 450, Memory map V5 & V6, Moto G6, CamerAlert, Copilot Premium, MM Tracker. |
