Text-to-Speech in Co-Pilot Version 7

Below is a note I wrote to Co-Pilot Technical Services concerning Text-to-Speech in the upcoming version 7 of Co-Pilot.

"Thank you for including me in the pre-order category. I've been using Co-Pilot for several years now and one of the best features was text-to-speech - you had it when everyone else did not. Now that everyone is emulating you by including (and touting) Text-to-Speech in their navigation programs, you have decided to drop it. Is this true??!!

I'm afraid you will not get me to upgrade if the new version 7 does not have text-to-speech."

Co-Pilot reply:

"It is not included in the initial release, but we will make it available through Central in a couple of months."

Interesting - since all their slaes publicity claim to have text to speech yet they won't have it available for a few MONTHS?

This is poor particularly as it was always there before.

I had exactly the same response saying they hope to have an update available to enable Text to Speech by the end of the year.
