My friend and I have both had problems with our X7's, his just completely stopped working for a while, so I leant him mine while I used my Holux. He sent his off to Rikaline UK, two working days later he received a new X7 in the post. He then sent mine off on Thursday afternoon, and I received a parcel this morning (Saturday), inside was a new Rikaline GPS-6030 bluetooth receiver. Definitely very fast customer service! Included in the parcel is a car charger and a home charger with 4 different mains adaptors which clip onto the charger and a little screwdriver to undo the securing screw to change them.
Has anyone got any knowledge on the 6030? Is in a non x-trac device? The manual isnt exactly clear on that fact and i've not had time to play with it yet as its still charging. It looks like its build quality is far superior to the X7, and has paired with my ipaq and is looking at 4 sats from behind the window at the moment
Quick pic of it:

Yes mine came from nexgen on ebay.
I let a friend borrow my X7 while his was sent to Rikaline, then when his returned, he sent mine off to Rikaline UK, as mine was also faulty, in that it worked one minute then it wouldn't the next. 2 Days later a 6030 arrived at my door. I complainrd about it shutting down and the excessive X-Trac delay. Email their customer services at Rikaline.co.uk and tell them about your fault and i'm sure they will deal with it.
I've been using the 6030 constantly now, never had a problem with it so far, it works really well. Not sure if its x-trac or not as I cant find any spec on it anywhere, but there isn't the huge delay you would expect |

Are you using TomTom? If so, what settings have you chosen for the device? I use it on an iPAQ and chose the Rikaline 6010, BT port COM8 settings but I wanted to know if that is correct and the manual is unclear.
Thanks |

Can I ask how you get in touch with Rikaline Customer Service? I need my firmware upgraded and have tried 8 times to contact them through their UK website "Contact Us" page - by no reply |
