Hi all. I have a TomTom One running software version 6.56. Every time I try to add a new favourite, the message "Too many Favourites! No more favourites can be added." comes up. Is there a limit on the number of favourites allowed to be stored? I have a 1 gig card installed and it is 2/3 empty. Any help would be most appreciated. |

Hi and welcome I can't recall of the top of my head what the limit is but there is a limit of possibly 20 favourite entries. This is a fixed limit.
I always advise that you use favourites as a temporary notepad of locations that you won't need again, one off visits etc. For locations that you will want to keep, share or use regularly create a custom POI file. You can create up to 100 of these depending on software version) and each can contain thousands of locations. e.g. Family_Addresses, Good_Food_Pubs, Clients etc etc.
You can create a new custom POI File by accessing the POI Options in Configuration. Once you have created a POI Group then you can add locations to it as you would add a favourite but instead choose Add POI. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The size of the card has nothing to do with it, the maximum favorites is about 45, I think, after that, TomTom won't let you save any more. I have heard of people making the favorites a POi, then deleting all the favorites, and starting again, and if you want a favorite, in the POi file, enable the POi and it will show all your old favorites, If you see what I mean. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |

There is a limit of 48 Favs, if you need to store more locations try creating a POI Category and save the locations within the POI file, this way you can add thousands of locations with no problems - Mike |

Thanks very much to all of you who have replied to my cry for help. All of the information has helped me sort out this long standing problem. I find so many places to re-visit but I have the memory capacity of a tea bag, so I need my favourites. Once again thanks for the help. What an excellent forum and group of users. |
