sat nav for car

hi all.

thinking of buying a sat nav for my car.

at the mo i am using nokia n80 with tomtom

but i am looking at getting a proper dedicated car sat nav.

which sat nav`s out there will work through a bluetooth headset like they do with a phone?

looking a spending around the £200 mark.

Some of the higher end units from manufacturers allow you to make calls via a BT connection between your 'phone and the PND.

New TomToms (520/720/imminent 920) can send audio to a "bluetooth hifi speaker". Is that basically the same thing?

Could be - there are two BT profiles used for audio. One is for ordinary monaural earpiece and the other does stereo 'hifi' (?A2DP).

Do the TomTom X20s allow you to use the 'phone at the same time as the directions over BT? I guess you would have to be paired to the TomTom unit and not to the 'phone for that to work.
