|
|
Hi,
I am looking to purchase a new sat nav suitable for my job. I am a multi-drop driver and would like a model that would allow me to put a number of destinations into the machine and let it work out the shortest distance between them. Is there such a machine that would be useful for me.
I currently use a tomtom at work now and especially like their systems...do they do one suitable.
Thanks for your help!!
Regards

copilot6 or iGO 2006 is the only thing I canthink of that will do this on the fly ie not preplaned on a pc
you would need a pda or pda/phone maybe something like the xda argon I think it is the replacement for the xda2i from o2 or a t-mobile vario thelater takes minsd if you ho for copilot6 option then I'd look at the compact3 or the vario2 bundle as I think the keyboard on the vario and vario 2 would better suit your needs also you'd be less likely to leave in the cab
pisted from killingholme dock immingham on a compact3 _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

You can sort of achieve this on the Garmin 660. You can enter all the desired locations one at a time, plotting the route. Each time you do that the drop gets added to the "Recent locations" list. This is displayed in nearest first order. Have rehursed all the drops, you will then be shown the closest ech time you look. A sort of route, but yes this could end up in a zig zag. I do like the nav features & speed of the 660, but yes the planning could be better. |
