When I am in Belgium and try to input a UK postcode, my Tomtom One XL Europe only recognizes Dutch postcodes, which all begin with a number. When I input the first 2 letters of the UK postcode, the Tomtom ignores these and just takes the first number. Any suggestions Question

Quite normal behaviour, the only way you can plan a route using postcodes intended for the UK when overseas is to use TomTom Home with the device connected.

Once you are present on UK soil the device will allow use of UK postcodes direct entry from the menu, it knows where you are.

If you want to plan a trip from Europe to UK do it in two hits, the first gets you to the ferry/ Euro Tunnel or airport of departure, once in the UK plan the second part of the trip using a UK postcode once the device has a position fix - Mike

It used to give you the option of choosing either Postcode File if you where in any other country than The Netherlands or the UK.

If it doesn't now then that's a step backwards in my opinion. Rolling Eyes

It still does, and you can fool it to do that by planning & demoing a short route e.g. in Spain.
The OP probably doesn't have the GB postcode file in his zip folder.
