just installed the camera database with the ogg files on my tomtom 720.
however the spoken warning sound is much lower than the voice that gives the directions

has anyone else had this or is there somwhere to turn them louder

thanks

Do you use a computer voice for the main navigation voice? - if so use the Text To Speech (TTS) to provide the warnings as they will be in the same voice and volume.

The Guide for setting up the camera database for the 910 details how to do this, and it is the same for the 720, it can take a little time, but is a once only job best done on a Sunday evening when there is nothing better to do - rubbish TV etc - have a read Here - Mike

Mike

thanks for that reply using it yesterday i realised that if you set TTS to work then it reads what the camera is called
i like the feature so much i am naming all the poi's so it tells me what they are

thanks

Read the guide I have linked to, you do not need to rename the POI files, if you do use the re-name method you will have to re-name the files every few weeks as they are updated.
Set the unit to "Type in your own warning" when configuring the warn when near POI option, now you can type whatever you want and the unit will reliably read out what you put every time you approach a camera of that type.
I use "Warning Gatso Ahead, Speed Limit is 70 Mile Per Hour" it takes a bit of time typing that lot in for all the cameras but this only needs to be done once - Mike
