I have a GPS antenna that I originally bought for my NAVMAN. It has the MMCX connector and, in fact, was one not made by MAVMAN but was considered compatible. It would seem that all GPS antennas with the proper connecotor ought to be compatible with most GPS units. I would like to use this antenna for my NUV1 660. Is there any reason why I cannot use it or do I have to purchase an antenna specifically for the Garmin? |

If it has the right connector i don't see why not - although you mention a MMCX connector. I believe Garmin use MCX connectors. |

Thank you. Your observation about the two connector types prompted me to investigate what differences there might be and I found that the MMCX is smaller than the MCX. So I guess it is buy yet another antenna. |

i've got an old external antenna that i had for my navman 510 which uses a mmcx connector. Just tried it on my nuvi 310 and it doesn't fit so you'll need the larger mcx one |
