Andy,
Thanks for the suggestion I'm lucky....but are you in a position to offer an aswer to the question ?

Charmed, I'm sure...
I was, but it looks like you've got it now anyway.

For info, now Easy Devices website now says it's back in stock again, which sems a bit odd.

Can't believe the 720 comes with a carry case, I've seen a photo of what looks like a metallic case for the ONE, does anyone know where I could get one for the 720?

Have a look here (not metallic, but at least a case):

I take it you meant to say 'does not come with a carry case' ?

Are there any scenic routes pre-stored in the GO 720 units? Would be a nice feature.

If not, are there any sites on the internet where you can download route files for TomTom?

No, I actually meant to say without instead of with.

Thanks for that link, I've just seen those and to be honest if TT can't suppy the 720 with a case then I won't buy one from them.

This is the one I would like, I saw the photo in another thread posted by Tim Buxton.

Me too, mine is scheduled for delivery for tomorrow. How sad is it that a 39 year old man is excited about his new toy, wow I need to get out more.
Delivery tomorrow of course is assuming the courier (citylink) don't balls things up (which they have before)
Fingers crossed.

Not one to want to wee on your chips but I was expecting a delivery a couple of years ago, CityLink were delivering, I stayed in all day, no one showed up but on the porch floor was a delivery card, I rang them up and arranged delivery for the next day. Again I stayed in and waited, I heard a faint noise from the porch door and went to investigate and saw another delivery card with the CityLink driver about to drive off, luckily I managed to stop him.

I asked him if he rang the doorbell (which works) and he said "No", I asked why and he said "I didn't think anyone was in".

Censored Stop it!

Were CityLink so hard up for drivers that they had to employ a clown as thick as him.

Confident now?

:D

Just one question regarding the maps, I noticed they are Western Europe, will these be an improvement on the current WE maps and will they have the same amount of countries as the WE&CE maps (silly question?). Also, will the detail of the maps be as poor as the last update with finer details missing, ie, water, some minor roads etc?

Can't answer that, we had a 520 so have not seen the European mapping, a retail 720 should be with me tomorrow.

Have you have time to look at this? Smile

Thanks

My new toy is not due to ship until end of August Crying and I'm 68. I need to get out more. Oh, and as a freelance whitevanman, I've done a few deliveries for Citylink. If there's one thing I hate, it's driving somewhere and not completing the delivery. As a permanent driver (albeit franchisee, probably) he needs to keep going and failed deliveries keep him going.
