Safety Camera POI -image not showing on map?? (Navman F30)

hi everyone i have just purchased the F30, and all seems well, i have installed some new camera places from SCDB.info and installed the relevant image files that come with them. when i go onto the F30 and view custom poi they are showing with the Image but they do not appear on the MAP itself, am i doing something wrong or should the bmp image appear e.g. 40mph sign on the map where the speed camera is??

Welcome to the forum, can you check Preferences/Maps/ Enable POI and make sure each speed camera icon is selected in the list. Next go to Preferences/Navigation/ Custom POI Alerts and make sure the Speed Cameras are selected in this list - they are the only selections needed on the device - Mike

thanks for this worked a treat, is there anyway of getting the name of the POI to be longer? as think at the moment i can only put the name of the custom POI as 8 digits and no spaces.

also one last thing, i have seen that some sites, (i have now installed the scdb speed cam database) it shows a description next to the posion of the cam like Gatso@20 etc but with the connectivity software it just says e.g 11795 - and doesn't show any info of the type etc
