|
|
Hi,
I have recently upgarded from TTN5 to TTN6 on my Pocket Loox 720 (by upgrade I obviously mean replaced).
Although Tomtom traffic was working fine with TTN5 (when I selected update it would connect to my mobile phone, Nokia N80, via bluetooth and retreive the information) it is not working with TTN6. When I select update I get an error message (big red screen!) saying cannot connect to wireless connection. Howecer if I manually pair my PDA and phone and start the GPRS connection before starting Tomtom everything works fine.
If appears TTN6 cannot initiate the GPRS connection even though TTN5 could. Does anybody have any suggestions? |

Hi,
Did you have any problems upgrading from TTN5 to TTN6 ? I can't get the download version to work, it won't recognise maps or voices and therefore won't start. TT support can't help. |

I've had similar connection problems on my IPAQ HX2790. TTN5 worked fine every time, TTN6 can be inconsistent with the GPRS connection. Sometimes my devices pair and my phone connects to GPRS via Bluetooth and other times nothing happens.
The best way I've found to make sure I have everything working is to make an internet connection via the Bluetooth Manager on my PDA and then launch TomTom. When I've stopped using TomTom I then disconnect the Bluetooth connection.
Takes a few more button presses but this has worked for me. |

Thankfully I followed the advice on another thread and now all is working. I will advise Tom Tom of the fix they originally supplied 5 months ago. |
