Hi,
As a new user I have just installed ( I think!) the speed camera database into my Navman F20, using its Connectivity Kit. The Pocket GPS logo shows up in the POI index, but I am wondering if there is any way to check that the database, and the camera alerts, have in fact been installed correctly?

Easiest way is to point the map to somewhere where you know there to be a camera location and visually see it. or to set the device to demo mode and put a route past a known camera location.

Patience, wait till tomorrow, and drive past one on the way to work! Smile

If you have an advanced planning option, plot a route from FY4 3NN No 95 to PR4 1AX No 33. You should get a 30MPH Gatso, a 30MPH Mobile very quickly and (eventually) a 40MPH Gatso, a 50MPH Gatso, a 50MPH Mobile and finally a 30MPH Mobile.
That should let you know they are working.

Not quite as easy on the F20 as there is no demo try the following though:
Tap the menu button and select "Places Of Interest" then "All POI" (if you are inside without a GPS fix) or select "Nearest POI" if you have a GPS fix.

Select Postcode and enter FY4 3NN, tap the Find POI button, scroll down the list to find the PocketGPSWorld camera icons, select one of the POI categories then select a single POI from the list to display it on the map -

I would also consider disabling the inbuilt Navman supplied speed camera database, otherwise the warning ping will drive you up the wall as you get two (or more) warnings per camera to do this go to Preferences/ Maps/ Enable POI scroll through the list and de-select the check box for the three speed camera icons Safety Camera, Safety Camera (avg), Safety Camera (mob), at the same time you are in this area make sure the PGPSW speed camera icon IS SELECTED or you don't get the warnings - Mike
