My Mio 168 is 18 months old.
The device was working normally. I turned it off for a few minutes and when I tried to turn it back on nothing happened. I have tried reset and also tried toggling the on/off switch at the back. I have also connected it to the charger and waited until the green light illuminated. When I connect it to my PC I get the uSB device not recognised message.
Also does anyone have a direct email address for Mitac support. When I tried to complete their online form asking a similar question to this, it told me there were invalid characters in the message box.

Norman

You have prob done this but when you said you toggled the on -off switch the manual recomends min 1 minute not just on off.

As for email support - I know of no email addresses however I vaguely remember some queries people had that they copied whole email replies. It might be worth a search for these

Actually just done that try "support.en@mio-tech.be"

Chris,
Many thanks for your reply. I did not know about the one minute wait when toggling the off/on switch. I fact I had to do this with the device connected to a power supply. It then worked.
