TomTom 6 - Dubai

Hi

Is the a map available for the UAE?

I know there is a lot of building work there and changes everytime I go, but I just wondered if TomTom have a map available.

If not, is there a system that does?

Don't believe TomTom cover the region at this time.

Managed to type 'GPS SatNav UAE' into google and it pointed here(destinator) - aren't search engines clever?!

Navigon also have some UAE mapping - try Google for yourself - I suggest 'Navigon UAE'! or visit i-go.com, I've seen mention that they have maps but they don't appear to be for sale on the site - maybe send them an email?

Garmin also have some coverage here.

Maybe someone else here has used one of these and can provide feedback? Certainly, in the case of Dubai, the newer the map, the better! Good luck!

And with each release maos seem to appear when others drop off. i still have to use Destinator in Athens coz Tom Tom Navigator 6 doesn't do Greece any more.

It's well worth checking this each time an upgrade comes out since they seem to pich and choose some of the smaller countries whenever they fancy to make the price fit I suppose.
