Anyone get TTn 6 to work on a 2210? I installed and it all worked briefly, until a hard reset. I have re-installed I do not know how many times - and on all occasions get Map not Found. I have uninstalled Navigator under Add/Remove progs, and it all looks hunky dory when I run start from the SD card - but then the inevitable No Maps found after the Legal disclaimer comes up.
TomTom have been their usual helpful selves.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I can confirm that a 2210 and TTN6 work perfectly WITH A CF storage card ( 1 gb Kingston) and a wired tomtom or BT-Q818 receiver ..Your problem may be with an SD card installation.

When TTN6 first came out, a lot of people (including me) were upset that the 2210 did not appear on the list of supported devices. Quite a few wrote in saying that they had it working, but often they said that it seemed to run slow, and be rather jerky when compared with TTN5. It seems that TTN6 is very near the limit of what the 2210 can run.
But TomTom did not forget the many users of the 2210. After a few weeks they announced that they were issuing updated maps for TTN5. That means that you can continue to run TTN5, which works extremely well in the 2210, but have the very latest maps.
That announcement came a couple of weeks too late for me, as I had already bitten the bullet and bought a TomTom One v2! I am very pleased with it, but I don't think TT6 has any significant advantages over TT5. In my opinion, the best course of action for 2210 owners is to stay with TTN5 and buy the new maps

I had exactly the same poblem trying to get TT6 and my 2210 and despite people saying that they had it working I got no support from them in this forum at all.

In fact today I have just re-installed TT5 with the old maps and emailed TT to ask for a TT5 version of the maps.

I found a thread on here yesterday saying that the download offer at the end of last year made no mention of the fact that the up graded maps that came with a free version of TT6 would not actually work with TT5. And that guy got free TT5 maps from TT.

I'll keep you posted here if I get them as well.

In February, TT told me there are no new maps for TT5 and there would be no new maps. I don't know how "new" the newest TT5 maps are, but the TT6 maps are newer.

The PDA instructions for installing tt6 weren't very clear, and I didn't think to remove the CF card initially, which seemed to be required to get TT6 to start the first time.

Along the way, I entered the device code that was used with my TT5 - wrong move, as TT6 produces a different device code on the same PDA. A 10 minute phone call to TT in the USA got me the correct activation code without any hassle. The representative apologized for the device code confusion, which he says happens frequently.

TT6 seems to run just as well as TT5 did. The only complaint I have is the Landscape function is missing, so I have to use it in Portrait mode. It even runs with the CF card installed.

So, new maps for $50 is reasonable, and the voice instructions seem improved. No real trips yet.

I got my TT6 on DVD with all the maps for UK and Europe, popped my 2210 into the cradle and installed the softare, installed the maps to my 2 gig SD card put in the activation code etc. and it works fine.

Switch off a few of the unrequired POIs and it runs very smoothly for me. I also have the original BT receiver aswell.

It would find it difficult to provide support to others struggling as the process was as straight forward as TT5

Cheers
