please could someone help! I have now been trying for over 6 hours to get the extended ogg files to work on my dell axim51 with tomtom v6.000(7370) & maps v650.1046.

I have downloaded the ogg files, extracted them and placed them in my gb map folder along with the latest gpsworld ov2 cams speed zoned (9th march). then I renamed the .ogg files as follows: pocketgps_uk_30.ogg & pocketgps_uk_40.ogg this was completed for all the rest. But when i go to run tomtom after resetting my dell I still only get the bells&bleeps ect. I feel like going back to my old ttv5 they worked fine with full extended voice prompts ie: warning gatso ahead speed limit 30 mph.

so if any one knows the easy way to set up these oggs please let me know.
keep up the good work and thanks for any help! Sad Sad

Have you gone into Warn When Near again? Until you do so, the system remembers the old settings.

If the ogg Files are named correctly, you won't be asked to select a Warning Sound/Voice.

Hi old boy.. with regard to my problem. yes i start tomtom then tap screen. then change pref. then manage poi's followed by warn when near poi's. I then select the poi to alert me and the distance but still get the choice of which sound ie: bells beeps ect. Thats what i can not understand i think i have done everything as per instructions.

When you have to rename ogg files say for gatso 30? I rename as follows:
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ogg (should I be useing underscore _ instead of just a space) I have even used all lower case as the ogg files come with caps.

I think I have tried every combination going but still only get normal tomtom sounds.

many thanks for you input to my problem.. Sad

You should have files named like this

pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.bmp
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.ogg

So there should be 3 files for each camera

hi tony266.

yes I have the 3 files for each camera as follows:

pocketgps_uk_mobile_20.ogg
pocketgps_uk_mobile_20.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile_20

only I do not have the .bmp after third file would that be the reason for the problem? the file is the .bmp correct one though.

your input much welcome..

It sounds like you have the File Extensions Hidden. This means that your files might be called something like pocketgps_uk_mobile_20.ogg .ogg

If the File Extension are Hidden and you add one to the Filename, then you will have problems.

In Explorer go to Tools | Folder Options, | View and Un-Tick the Option to Hide Extensions for known File Types.

You can also check a File by Right Clicking and Selecting Properties.
