SD Cards

I have a TOMTOM One - V1 - looking to use a larger SD card so the device can be used to hold other maps.

What size/speed of card can be used - asked TOMTOM ad have had no reply

There has been quite a bit of discussion on the subject (try a search). Much varying opinions too. Generally, it looks as though a 2GB card is the biggest you can run in the TomTom. Several of us bought a Transcend 2GB 150x one from Amazon quite cheaply (plus exhorbitant postage!!) which works well. I also bought one without knowing the speed and that works just as well! 2GB is well able to carry the maps (whole of Europe at Street level is less than 1GB).
