Nuvi 660 GTM software updated to version 4.00!!!!!

Firmware 4.00 has just showed up in Webupdater for me too - only new file I can see is the 32kb updated bin file.

BAVC10 - that's all that a GTM firmware would be.

Well, I've upgraded my Nuvi, so it'll be interesting to see what difference it makes to my traffic receiver tonight.

Well it seems to work - got traffic info now.

I have removed the 32k BIN file from the Garmin folder.

Used webupdater and installed the version 4.0 that appeared in the additional software.

Rebooted the Nuvi 660 and looked under System...About and it still show 3.90 for the GTM.

What is going wrong?

Perhaps try running webupdater with the original 32K file still there.

Also check the 32k file after the transfer to see if it contains version 4.00 in it.

The original 32k BIN file does not even show the v4.0 update in webupdater.

What program do I use to look inside the BIN file?

Just use notepad to look in it.

Just tried that, total junk, cant make out anything. loads of symbols. totally meaningless

Most of it is but towards the end you should see GTMxx Software Version etc.

Yep, just updated the unit which updated the receiver, which now shows GTM 4.0 and some traffic info coming in outside the house where there's been nothing since the update. I don't want to jinx it so I won't breathe out until I get to work tomorrow. If this is genuinely back to pre-Jan 15, I'll be well stoked.

It says v4 but later on it says {MISSING SYS VER GTMxx 2.10 is this significant?
