TomTom never reply here, or even read it, (officially )
If the double-click doesn't help...
They have redesigned the mount slightly, but I would have thought that if you have just bought it, you would have the new version already.
HERE is a link to some pictures of the old and new, side by side.
They also have a free replacement program for any drooping mounts, and (although YOU shouldn't have to do this) several people have posted details of modifications on the various TT forums to make the ball grip better. |

thanks mike yes its locked ok but drops down after about 30 miles or so
its not good is it. if i hit a bump it drops down. i also think the screen is poor in the sun shine i find the 910 screen not as good as the tomtom one or go 300 also when you use the phone the sound is is very low from the tomtom its great in the house any views on it.
anything i can do other than take it back to comet |

In which case you could contact TomTom support for a replacement mount, I find the display can get washed out when you encounter low strong sunlight (like we have at the moment), I use a product called Glare Stomper - its a fabric visor that clips to the device using velcro.
For the sound when on the phone make sure you turn the volume up while you are a call, the device will then remember the volume settings, this is seperate to the main volume level. - Mike |

thanks andy-p
looks like i have the new mount but when you pay £350 for a tomtom you dont expect to have to fix it or make mods to it. as thhis would invalidate the warranty exellent product spoilt by mount
kind regards john h |

I only bought mine yesterday and the mount, from the pictures, looks like the old one. Rang TT Support and a new one on its way as I speak.

That doesn't work, ring them on the 0845 number from their site. I rang about 1645 and got through in about 4 minutes. Polite lady and dealt with in about two minutes. Don't give up mate.

Just bought a 910, just like mr proctor, had a tomtom one and decided to upgrade. , as they said in 4 weddings. The mount is far to fragile for the unit. It's about 4 time heavier than the one. Also you can;t just put it in your pocket like the one.And we still have the 100 POI limit so you need to be carefull what you wish for. A £300 brick |

Careful with the Nuvi and loading extra POI's. Read the thread on the Nuvi bit of the forum above. That's how I ended up with my TT910. |

It has already been covered elsewhere that you can get a replacement mount free of charge, so that solves that problem.
My unit doesn't fit in my pocket, but I kinda guessed that before I purchased it, doesn't mean it is useless though, surely you must have seen the size of the 910 before you took the plunge and dished out the dosh? _________________ Tomtom Go730T
