Hi all,
I am thinking of buying the TomTom One but was wondering if the street name of your current position is displayed on screen or if there is the facility to bring it up.

It's a little odd...
If you do not have a calculated route set, it shows the name of the road you are on now....

If you DO have a route set, it shows you the name of the road you need to turn onto next.

But to see the name of the road you are on now when you have a route set, you can tap the screen once and the road name will be shown as "current position".

There isn't any way to customise this unfortunately (apart from turning off the street name display completely!)

Unfortunately, in navigation mode, if you do tap the screen to get current position, it doesn't update. You need to go back into navigation mode, and then tap the screen again to refresh.

Thanks for the info.
Just to be 100% clear. If you have it switched on but not navigating, it shows the name of the road you are currently on.

Is that the case?
