sorry, i'm failing to see where you can download speed cameras from on that site...

if you have the pocketgpsworld.com database i suggest you subscribe and get an official version of the database - feel free to click 'join' at the top of any page.

also, as a subscriber you would receive some support for thingsl ike this.

Thanks

Well thats a bit naughty, I just downloaded it too, unzipped it, and It looks like the database from this site, the files are named "pocketgps_uk_gatso"etc. It looks like you have an illegal copy of the database cookiebuzz, how much did you pay for it, its £2.00 for a month on here, and the one you have looks like its dated 6/10/06. as Its an illegal copy, I would delete it, and get your money back.

I have removed the full link for obvious reasons, although I should also add I have forwarded this full link to the Admin team to investigate further.
Additionally this database appears to be around 4 months out of date! - Mike

Bit ironic, since the site is supposed to offer sevices such as this:

Indeed. The site Owner claims they were old files. It transpires that I reported him to eBay last year for selling our data and he alleges they were files remaining from then. It would be interesting to know if this is indeed old data or if he's continuing to operate on eBay? Laughably he also claims he did not know they it was our data despite having our file names intact!

He was a subscriber and forum member here but this has now been revoked.

fair enough.

the only way to delete poi's is to either use a card reader and, in a folder called 'Garmin', delee the file called POI.gpi

either that or use the new beta version of poiloader software which has an option of deleting current poi's.

I'm going to delete mine.

Okay I only paid£2 for it but it is in accurate. Based on a 40 mile local trip yesterday my original accurate data has been supplemented or replace by data telling me 40mph camera are nor 25 mph or 43mph.
I do not trust it. Very disappointed.

Not clear what you are saying here, are you saying, in a 40mph zone your sat nav is saying the speed limit is 25mph or whatever. If so, it sounds like you may have got the POi loader, or whatever it called, set to kph, instead of mph when you loaded the database onto your sat nav, as, 40 KPH IS 25 MPH, or am I barking up the wrong tree. I always find my data accurate, including the latest update.

Yes definitely a n MPH/KMPH confusion in POILoader or whatever.
There are NO cameras at 25MPH or 43MPH in the database.

Do a search, this crops up very regularily.
