I have just spent the best part of the evening creating a full set of speed cam alerts in .ogg format using AT&T's text2speech demo service (see http://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php). the set includes alerts for Gatso's (20-70mph), mobiles (20-70mph), specs (20-70mph), tempory and redlight. The full monty. I have also added a tasteful alarm to the Gatso, Specs and Redlight alerts to draw the attention prior to the alert being read out. If you would like a copy please email me at wilyearthworm(@)yahoo.co.uk and let me know what you think!

Thanks for the files Earthworm, good work.
I tried lots and lots of audio files, but for one reason or another, I was never 100% happy with any of the ones I found, so I took the best bits from the ones I had, and made my own collection of speed alert sounds, if anyone wants to try them then they can be downloaded from the links below.
These are complete files soloutions and are available as 'single file', 'consolodated' and 'speed zoned' versions to suit any rquirements.
I did not record any of the audio in these sounds personally, and credit must go to the people responsible for the recordings, I just edited things a bit to make something that suited me, I hope Im not breaking any copyright issues by doing this.
Anyway, the files are located here for anyone that cares to try them :-
If this is the first time you are adding warning sounds, then there are a couple of things you need to do, in order to make these audio warnings work.
First, choose 1 archive above, depending on what camera database you use.
Next, copy the ogg files in the archive you download, in to your map folder where your PGPS camera 'ov2' files are located.
Finally, run TomTom and go to Manage POI's, then use the option to 'warn when near a POI' and set the distance you want the warning to sound, there is no need to select sounds, it's automatic.
Enjoy... or not... I made these for my self, just thought I would share them
