I have just purchased a 310d and am dissapointed in the distance countdown to a turn.
It is giving me 1/2 mile countdown, which I find pretty useless.

Is this fixable anywhere in the settings ? or will it reduce when I get into a town.

My 350 counts me down from about a mile away through decreasing distances to telling me to turn just before the junction. I can't give you exact distances as I can't really remember, it just happens if you know what I mean.
If you are having problems I have found Nuvi support to be very quick to answer any questions. Make sure it is the European site you use though, the US site is not so responsive.

Unfortunately I cannot get this sort of countdown so have contacted Garmin and await response.
